We are rebuilding the roof, walls, and floor of the manhole at Charles St and Pleasant St. This work is needed to ensure the structure remains safe and reliable for years to come.

The project began on September 11, 2025 and will take approximately 16 weeks to complete.

What traffic impacts should I expect?

  • The right lane of Charles St will be closed from the bus stop to just north of Pleasant St for the duration of the project.

  • Access to Pleasant St will be maintained, but drivers will need to enter from St Paul Place instead of Charles St.
