This project is the complete replacement of the Dartmouth Road Retaining Wall, as the old wall is deteriorating.

The existing retaining wall will be replaced with a concrete retaining wall on driven piles.

The existing stairway will be replaced, and a mid-block crossing along Dartmouth Road will be included in the project.

Will the new wall be the same as the old wall?

No, the new wall will be a single full-height concrete wall. The wall will be supported by piles with fencing along the top of the wall.

Will the stairs through the current retaining wall be replaced?

Yes, the stairs will be replaced. Additionally, a mid-block crossing across Dartmouth Road will be constructed at the base of the new stairs.

Will traffic on Dartmouth Road be closed during construction?

Traffic will be restricted. The contractor will utilize flaggers as necessary to facilitate traffic on Dartmouth Road. Traffic may be closed for a limited amount of time for specific construction activities. Notices will be posted in these instances.

How loud will the work be?

The contractor will adhere to daily work schedule limits and utilize noise and vibration monitoring as necessary.
