What is the Greenspring Restripe project?

Now that Greenspring Avenue has resurfaced, we’re updating it to meet modern safety and accessibility standards under Baltimore’s Complete Streets Law. This means new pavement markings that better serve everyone—whether you're walking, biking, driving, or taking transit.

Why is this project happening now?

The road resurfacing gave us the perfect opportunity to bring Greenspring Avenue up to current standards. Instead of simply repainting the old layout, we’re rethinking how the street can best serve the community.

What is happening next?

We will be finalizing the design and scheduling installation for the roadway configuration shown below.
We will be looking to install the initial striping July or August of 2025. Some minor details may appear later through the striping season, but complete by November.
After that we will look at the installation of bus bulbs and modifying any other hardscaped features on the roadway for competition in 2026.
