What is the Greenspring Restripe project?

Now that Greenspring Avenue has resurfaced, we’re updating it to meet modern safety and accessibility standards under Baltimore’s Complete Streets Law. This means new pavement markings that better serve everyone—whether you're walking, biking, driving, or taking transit.

Why is this project happening now?

The road resurfacing gave us the perfect opportunity to bring Greenspring Avenue up to current standards. Instead of simply repainting the old layout, we’re rethinking how the street can best serve the community.

What is happening next?

We have finalized the design to Concept 2 and installed some markings and delineation as part of Phase 1.
We will now be working on Phase 2 that includes bus bulbs and final conversion into a two-way facility.
