Project Overview

The York Road Improvement Study focuses on how to advance the York Road Corridor Vision & Action Plan from a transportation perspective. The study investigates two alternatives for the York Road corridor between Northern Parkway and 43rd Street and provides recommendations on traffic and pedestrian safety improvements, transit improvements, and streetscaping opportunities.

Project Purpose

  • Advance the development of transportation concepts from the 2015 York Road Corridor Vision & Action Plan
  • Identify and propose opportunities to improve pedestrian safety and traffic safety
  • Identify placemaking opportunities
  • Identify and propose streetscaping and landscaping improvements
  • Conduct traffic analysis to project bus travel times
