Constantly on edge

There isn't a time where I feel safe on a street in Baltimore City. Whether I am driving, walking, or biking I am in a constant state of on edge. Many sidewalks lack any sort of buffer or protection from the road. Bike lanes are non existent or dump you into traffic without warning. Drivers completely disregard traffic laws and rules and do so without fear of penalty. This city is a living nightmare from a streets perspective. And its a shame because I absolutely love living in this city otherwise. I love Baltimore. I want more for it. Cities are for people. NOT CARS. By far the worst part of the city is on my own street. Cold Spring Lane between Harford Road and Morgan State is living hell. I can't safely walk on my street because cars drive 50-60 mph on a 25mph road. There was supposed to traffic calming implemented but that hasnt happen. I've had neighbors wake up to vehicles in their yard, nearly plowing into their house. My neighbors and I have trauma bonded by playing "traffic cop" with our own cones during the serious accidents we've experienced.
